Lion’s Mane
Great source detailing Lions Mane Syndrome: https://lionsmanesideeffects.com
Lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) is an edible/medicinal mushroom commonly sold as a supplement for brain and nerve support. Lion's Mane mushroom is scientifically proven to cause Post-Finasteride Syndrome (PFS) by suppressing the 5ar genes. This, combined with at least 24 other gene mutations, can lead to catastrophic and permanent health issues (1).
A mutation of more than 24 key genes is scientifically proven. This triggers an endless cascade of failing biological systems and devastating consecuences.
The study shows it is also a potent 5-alpha reductase (5ar) inhibitor that suppresses the 5ar type 1 and type 2 genes. The same mechanism that causes Post-Finasteride Syndrome (PFS), a condition that leads to catastrophic health issues to tens of thousands of victims (1).

Crash Anecdotes:
My Personal Risk Ranking:
High Risk of Permanent Worsening (for PFS/PSSD/PAS):
If you currently have PFS/PSSD/PAS, this substance may carry a high risk of worsening symptoms—potentially in a lasting way—and is best avoided.
For those without these conditions, there are reports of a “post–lion’s mane syndrome” that can resemble PFS/PSSD/PAS. Given the uncertainty and the potential severity of outcomes, the risk may not be worth the advertised benefits.
